My cooking tragedies
Hearkening back to the "early years" when I was still growing, quite hungry, & mom wasn't home to make dinner... I made a turkey sandwich with ketchup, mayo, cheese, pickles... barf.
In college, I attemtpted cream-puffs & made "chocolate sauce" by cooking chips in a regular sauce pan & adding H2O. This made lavarock... but in a rush I smeared it on top of my pretty puffs anyway. terrible.
In more recent years the tragedies been more "forgetful" than reckless or ignorant. Pudding with sour milk, cookies without eggs, coffee without coffee in the maker (4AM folks). But... the real tragedy was tofu. I still have no idea how to cook that stuff
