Mexican Rice II
This recipe can be improved very much by using bacon grease instead of oil and sauteing the onion with the rice. I use some oregano and parsley along with cumin. I add a 3" piece of celery that has been sliced on the diagonal, and a sliced carrot before adding the broth. In the summer I use fresh chopped tomato instead of tomato sauce. I omit the garlic salt all together and add plain salt.
