About this Cook
I've been married 9 years to a wonderful husband and have 3 children (boy 6, girl 3, and boy 9 months as of May 1st). We live in Provo, UT. I work PT at a major retail store in the evenings, tend to kids, house, and garden during the day all the while attending school via online.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are sweet and sour meatballs (made with ground turkey) over rice and desserts. Desserts I like specifically are cheesecakes and quick breads.
My favorite family cooking traditions
At this time we haven't established any particular cooking traditions.
My cooking triumphs
If my husband is willing to eat the leftovers or wants more than one serving and my kids eat it too, I consider it to be a cooking triumph.
My cooking tragedies
Anything that is a custard type with egg. I haven't figured out how to make custard of any sort without having it taste eggy or look like partial scrambled eggs. One time I cooked a small whole chicken and forgot to take out the bag of gizzards and such. The inside was not cooked very well. Thankfully no one ate it and got sick. I am much more careful about cleaning or checking the inside of a whole bird.

White Bread For The Bread Machine
I love this recipe! I chose to use my bread machine for the mixing and kneading of the dough, then bake in the oven at 375 degrees for 25 min. I made a couple of minor changes. Instead of vegetable oil, I used olive oil like many of the other reviewers, when I ran out of olive oil, I used canola oil and both loaves came out great tasting. The texture was a little airy and I had a hard time cutting it into slices. So the next time I made the bread I added 2 Tablespoons of "Blue Chip" Dough Enhancer per 3 cups of white flour and it was the perfect bread! My husband loves it!
