I love recipes! Usually main dish meals, salads, casseroles. I like food with lots of flavors and textures. My love of cooking comes from my Grandma. Her chocolate chip cookies, pound cake and mashed potatoes bring back great memories. She didn't let me help a lot (I'd make a mess) but I sure watched and absorbed what she did. I made my own birthday cake from Death by Chocolate. 3 layers, ganache, mousse, the works. It was a little lopsided but otherwise "to die for". Most recently Christmas Candy. I used 2 oz more evap milk than called for--figured I'd get rid of it. The candy never set, I of course doubled the recipe--so I had a big expensive pile of goo.
