Blonde Brownies I

Reviewed: Jun. 16, 2009
I followed the recipe exactly but did not combine them in the order of the recipe and they seemed more like a cake than a chewy brownie, must have done something wrong, I am going to give it another shot tonight but I added a cup of chunky peanut butter to the batter and I didn't have brown suger so I used a trick I learned years ago (***tip - 1 cup granulated sugar and tbsp molassess for light brown sugar or 3 for dark brown)and used my homeamde brown sugar. Lets see if they turn out. Good basis for a recipe though, I think it was the way I combined the ingrediants. I did it the way it said this time :)

Buster Bar Ice Cream Dessert

Reviewed: Jun. 6, 2009
This is the best! I didn't have any evaporated milk so I used 1 1/2 cups whole milk and mixed in 1/4 cup vege oil into the milk(tip from another website) and it worked perfect! What I did different is used a spring form pan and put 1/2 of the fudge and nuts on the crust....Oh and I used spanish peanuts instead of regular ones. This is a keeper! Forget that expensive ice cream shop for cakes, this is it!

Chicken Noodle Casserole I

Reviewed: May 19, 2009
I also changed this recipe around because poaching chicken is icky! I cubed my chicken and seasoned it with garlic powder, cayenne, salt and pepper, browned it in olive oil and then added about 1/2 cup each finely diced celery, onion, green pepper, also added 1 cup cliced mushrooms and 2 finely minced garlic cloves, le that all brown and then hit it with a bit of chicken stock to get all of the flavor off of the bottom of the pan. mixed all of the other ingrediants together and added 3 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley and a cup of fresh baby spinach, put in casserole dish, added 2 cips colby jack shredded cheese and then the cracker mixture, much flavor!

Fudgy Cream Cheese Tunnel Cake

Reviewed: May 16, 2009
This was a great cake for my husbands Birthday, I used a dark chocolate cake mix....I added an egg to the cream cheese mixture.....For the ganache I added 1 tablespoon of corn syryp and 2 tablespoons of butter so it became nice and shiney! I will use this cake recipe over and over and next time I think I will make a cherry cream cheese filling. I figure this recipe can be changed in many ways with different fillings and different flavors cake mixes.

German Spaetzle Dumplings

Reviewed: May 15, 2009
I am full blooded german and grew up eating spaetzle, I added about 1/8 cup more flour and I like to fry my Spaetzle in 5 slices of rendered bacon until slightly crisp and a little brown, yummy! My husband can't get enough of it.
