I was a stay at home mom for 12 years and have been working for the past 5 years. I love to cook and bake, but now I don't have as much time to do it so I look for quick and easy meals for the weekends.
My favorite things to cook
I enjoy cooking mexican, italian meals and baking all kinds of stuff from pies, to breads to cakes to cookies. I am an equal opportunity person, I don't neglect anytime of cooking or baking.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I've never had a tradition, but I'm happy to say that I started one several years ago. I bakes several dozen cookies to give away to friends and family during the christmas season.
My cooking triumphs
I think my biggest cooking triumph is that I have inspired my daughter to become a chef. What could be more triuphant than that. That is the best compliment I have ever gotten.
My cooking tragedies
When I was a newlywed I tried to bake some chicken for dinner. When I served it it was undercooked. I was so upset that I just threw it away and bought take out. That was the last time that ever happened to me.
