J.P.'s Big Daddy Biscuits

Reviewed: Sep. 11, 2009
AMAZING. i've made these several times and usually double the recipe because we eat so many. I took some advice from the other posts and use only half of the baking powder and let them sit for 10-15 minutes (after cutting, before baking) which makes them fluff up a lot without being too light. it is CRUCIAL that you have the sides touching and cook about 10 or 11 minutes. I usually turn the broiler on for a few seconds to get the nice slightly brown top. also, adding a little more sugar can be nice depending on your tastes.

Mom's Best Peanut Brittle

Reviewed: May 28, 2009
i made two batches and both tasted good but very different! i think i may have let the peanuts burn the first time a little bit so i added the peanuts a little later on the second one and had a very nice color with a lighter texture. very fun to make :)

Chicken and Dumplings III

Reviewed: Jan. 7, 2009
I usually make most things from scratch but decided to give this a try after reading the positive reviews. Everything was okay tasting but had a store-bought, came-from-a-can quality about it (due to the condensed soup and packaged biscuits?). Or maybe it's because I can't do anything the easy way :) Good luck for everyone else though!

Easy Bacon, Onion and Cheese Stuffed Burgers

Reviewed: Nov. 12, 2008
I would have given this recipes 4.5 stars if I could. It was really delicious! We ate them too quickly to even take a picture. I used turkey meat and turkey bacon instead, red onion, smoked barbecue sauce, and a little more garlic. After stuffing them, I had to make the patties very thin and large because the first one didn't cook thoroughly, but they shrunk to an edible size. They did come apart a little at the edges at first but just pinch the edges very well and flip only once. The boyfriend really, really liked them. Even the next day.
