About this Cook
Hmmm... I never know how to fill these things out. I am outgoing, fun, stubborn, and opinionated. I discovered that I loved to cook living in a houseful of roommates. I would trade their cooking duties for my bathroom or laundry duties and the discovered I loved it. When my university roommates and I realized I was decent at it, I never had to clean the bathroom again! I started baking a year ago for a cookie exchange, and now its a great stress reliever.
My favorite things to cook
Desserts, soups, anything Italian. Right now I am madly trying to find ways to switch beef for chicken and turkey, as I don't eat beef but my boyfriend wants something more than chicken breasts every night. *lol*
My favorite family cooking traditions
Music. I always cook with music and a towel over my shoulder. I realized last year that I picked that up from my mom. A few odd traditions... Tuna Melts on Halloween; hard sauce and mincemeat tarts for Christmas; and my mom's famous flank steak for a simple and SO impressive dinner.
My cooking triumphs
I started a class last year and decided to bake treats for the first class. It was such a hit that i am now expected to bake something for every class.
My cooking tragedies
Chocolate chip cookies. I can't make them to save my life. But the first time I made them I used my mom's (American) Joy of Cooking which called for four sticks of butter. So I used four blocks of butter not realizing that a stick was a quarter of a cup. OY VEY!

Mediterranean Puff Pastry Chicken
Ridiculous how wonderful this recipe was. It is a simple meal that makes you look like an executive chef! I simplified it even further by combining the tomatoes, pesto and feta together and applying it all as one. I also have done an Italian version with provolone, pasta sauce and peppers. Thank you for this recipe!
