About this Cook
I am a retired grandmother. I love traveling, gardening and cooking. Not necessarily in that order. My granddaughters and I have been canning things for the fair.
My favorite things to cook
I love all cooking but I think bread baking and soups are my favorite everyday items. I also love to can and make jams and pickles.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My husband was of Italian decent and I enjoy all Meditaranian cooking. Italy is one of my favorite places to visit and eat.
My cooking triumphs
Too few.
My cooking tragedies
Too many,

Campbell's(R) Swiss Vegetable Casserole
This recipe is just like seeing an old friend. I have been making this for about 20 years. It was passed on to me by a friend. I think it is one of the most requested recipes I make. It is nice to know that even if I lost the card my recipe is safe here.

Sour Cream Blueberry Muffins
I made these today and they are the most wonderful muffins. I did add a tsp of Vanilla and more blueberries. Thank you for such an easy good tasting recipe.

Stewed Tomatoes with Dumplings
This does bring back memories. My mother made these. She said that it was a depression era dish that her mother made. I think I will make them the next time I need a real comfort food. Thanks for the reminder.
