I have a collection of cookbooks that's about 2,035 cookbooks. And still collecting. Have books from the 1900's to present. I love to cook whatever I can. I love trying new recipes and seeing if my family likes them. For the holidays I normally try to make what was handed down to me from my mother. All her delicious recipes that I can share with my family and grandkids. Also sending the recipes to my mother's sister. Which she remembers that my mother had made. When my daughter was growing up. She would always wait the night before to tell me that she needed cookies or muffins for school the next day. Many of nights I would be still baking until 2 in the morning and get up at 5 to go to work. My first time making bread. When I first met my husband he made the bread. But I wanted to surprise him and show him I could do it too. I did what was on the recipe but it didn't raise. It felt like lead. My husband still ate it just to be nice.
