I have two grand children that I baby sit 4 days a week after school, some times on weekends one is a fussy eatter the other notso much .I am always on the look out for interesting ways to prepare foods to intice the youngest to try new things I love to be apart of their lives, i love to knit sew quilt and write and garden. I love to spend time with friends and I love to decorate.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make anything my grandkids love . Everything from baking things to seeing my oldest grand daughter smile from ear to ear over my chili. My ho made spaghetti-sauce is a family favorite
My favorite family cooking traditions
cookng tradtions I don't really have .... not just a yearly thing but we have lots of holiday traditions.
and those aremodified accordng to jobs that so untraditionally infringe on some holidays. my sons work in corrections so often we are having our christmas as a breakfast instead of a dinner or christmas night after mid night but we always do some thing special

ohhh my gosh ...lots of things but surpringly dog bisquits. but I cnat share those recipes beacause it has become a bussiness for me
My cooking tragedies
making my girlfriend a birthday cake for her husband she traditionally made for him, but had fallen and had surgury and couldn't make him his cake that yar because she was in a cast yet. I was a good cake maker, so surprised her with a cake for him ... but it seems when every I try to do someone a favor it turns into a disaster. like the top layer of the cake slipping off! so I had to put a pancake flipper between the layers and freeze it till frozen to get it to her house in one peice and then couldt get the pancake turner out from between the layers of the cake! it was frozen solid! lets just say it was the laughing-est birthday party I have ever gone too.! The cake was really good the hit of the party (at my embarrassed expense ) the cake just wanted to slide off the layers.! I still haven't figure what I did wrong? and that was 20 some years ago and every year on my friends husbands b.d they tease me on how they won't ask me to make the cake anymore!
