About this Cook
About me? Well there are many things about me. I'm a very interesting kind of person. I have many things I enjoy. I'm a big fan of books, owning over 400 books (though its mostly manga). I love camping and being outdoors. As well as being indoors at other times. I am a big family person, I mean I may not always show it but I do love my family and miss them so. I'm doing my best to adjust to living overseas. Its been hard but with my great friends I've met. I LOVE to cook and bake. I do both really well. I thank both sids of my family for it. My mother and my grandmother Mikulsky, who I believe to be the 2 best cooks in the world. Both do they best in different areas of cooking and baking. I aim to be like them with my cooking and baking.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook? Well that is a hard question to answer. I love to cook/bake many things. I guess you can say my favorite things to cook/bake are new things I have never made before. I just love trying new recipes. The excitement of not knowing what is going to happen.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family has some cooking traditions. Mostly around Chirtmas time. My grandmother would have me and my younger sister Amanda come over. We would make cookies for Christmas with her. Shes been getting older and so have my sister and I, so really don't do that anymore. My father sometime after started to make chocolate covered candies after we stopped with my grandmother. My mother also started to make candies and cookies every year for Christmas gifts to the family haveing me and my other siblings (younger then Amanda, Chy and Mikey) help out. Thats mostly cooking traditions we have but there is one more with my father. Every year my father has his garden. And every year we make chili for the veggies growing it. Its so good. Yummy!
My cooking triumphs
Cooking triumps? Well I would say is when I make something for the first time and it comes out better then good. One of my favorite times is when I made stuffed pork chops. They came out just right. Everybody that had them loved them. There was no left overs that night, not one bite. My father to this day talks about how good they were.
My cooking tragedies
My cooking tragedies? Well usually I don't tell people this but I have burned a couple of things. I'm the kind of person who can get really involed with what I'm watching. And have forgetting for a couple of minutes that I was baking something. Or it would be the oven that I was using at the time that has burned it. Other then that so far I haven't really had any cooking/baking tragedies. Thank the gods above!
