About this Cook
hello!I have been cooking professionally for over 15 years.I am the proud parent of three children a teenager and two "tweens".I am extremely social, and love to cook for my friends and my children's friends.I love outdoor get togethers...beach bar b q,camping trip or just entertaining on the lanai.good food + good friends = good times !
My favorite things to cook
donot have a favorite. What I feel like cooking is usually directly affected by my mood.feeling laid back..something quick and easy, trying to impress..gourmet,dieting this week..healthy.I frequently have "pop-in" guests so I like to have frozen backups in the freezer I can quick thaw and serve.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I dont know how or why this was started, but x-mas is a blur of sugar cookies(I don't think any body actually cares to eat them anymore..the focus is more on decorating them)
My cooking triumphs
evryday! lol.
My cooking tragedies
christmas dinner 1992,my lasagna was so dry you could choke a horse with it. My guests were trying bravely to choke it down when my 8 year old niece announced to everyone "this stuff really sucks"

Lemon Sugar Cookies
was in a hurry so I made as a drop cookie instead of rolling out and cutting.Very tasty, but will roll and cut out dough next time.Came out like cakey little golf balls.Lesson learned, follow the recipe !!!

Addictive Sweet Potato Burritos
I made these for an employee appriciation brunch at my restaurant and they were not a big hit.Followed the recipe exactly except for using black beans. The recipe did not sound that great, but the good reviews it got convinced me to give it a try.Just an average run of the mill burrito, have had way better.
