I am a full time college student, work full time, have a husband, daughter, grand daughter 14 dogs, 3 cats and 2 horses and 200 acres to keep me busy. I hate cooking the same thing, so I like to try a couple of new recipes each week and hope they all receive a thumbs up. The quicker and easier the recipe, the better I like it. My first crock pot was harvest gold, sunrise orange and avacado green. For those of you who reconize those colors, you know how long I've used a crock pot. I really don't have a "favorite" thing to cook. I like to mix and match. My family is open to anything I want to put in front of them. They are not picky about what they eat. When my children were little, we would all sit down and plan our meals for 2 weeks. Each child got one night to get his favorite meal. Once the meals were planned, groceries purchased and meals posted on the frig., the cooking was divided so that each child cooked one night with mom and one night with dad. It was always fun to cook with them. I've had many successful meals. I don't know if I would call any of them a triumph. To me, a triumph is clean plates and no left overs. In the mid 80's someone published little flip chart cookbooks. One of them had a ham caserole in it. My husband flagged it as one that sounded good, so I tried it one night. It had mayo and ketchup in it, so I should have know better. But I cooked it anyway. I tasted it and it was gross....my husband was trying to be supportive and ate most of his. However, if you say ham caserole aroud him, he will pass and order pizza
