About this Cook
I am a newlywed who does most of the cooking in the home (although my amazing wife is getting better!) and have been trying to improve my skills for most of my life. I am a professional actor, model and musician in the Metro Detroit area, and an avid athlete. I love sharing and learning new recipes, feel free to send a message along!
My favorite things to cook
As with anyone, I go through phases of my favorites. I am currently in a chinese phase, but perhaps the most enduring of my recipes has been a chicken parmasean with a home made sauce and fresh pasta, with a follow up of tiramisu.
My favorite family cooking traditions
There are few things in this world passed down as well as cooking. For my family, it was no different. My mother had me learning in the kitchen with her when I was quite young. Cookies, breads, chicken dishes and omlettes are some of the first I can remember learning. The best tradition we have had endures today, even after her loss. Each Christmas night, we make French Meat Pies, Vichysoisse and crescent rolls. It would seem that after so many years the menu would grow tired, but my family and I have yet to lose our palate for this sentimental dish.
My cooking triumphs
Well I suppose I am still known for my first Tiramisu which was made for a Christmas dessert years ago. But my most recent triumph, which I am proud of at the moment, was a mesquite smoked chicken I made out on the grill this summer. It received rave reviews and I was pleased, as I had never smoked anything ever.
My cooking tragedies
There are more of these than this box allows characters for.

Absolutely Delicious Baked Root Vegetables
Fan-freakin'-tastic. I cut the root veggies thin to be more like chips, this is a definite repeat.

Nutty Apple Crisp
This seriously didn't even make it 24 hours in our home. And we don't even have kids yet. Great call here.
