I am a mother of 4 living in Central Illinois. I sell Avon, Tupperware and Home Interiors. I am a 4-H club leader, volunteer at school and I love cooking for the county fairs. My kids keep me very busy. I would have to say that my favorite things to cook are the recipes that I grew up with. Some of those are roll-em ups, pasty, spanish stew and others. Some of our favorite family cooking traditions are to allow the kids to cook. By letting them help, we are essentially allowing another generation of cooks to develop. I truly beleive the best chef is the home chef, which begins at home. My cooking triumphs would include Champion and Reserve Champion candy at the county fair. Champion and Reserve Champion cookie, Reserve Champion Bread and my son taking Best In Show for Junior Cooking. Ooooooh, there are too many to list, but I would have to say when I made divinity for the first time. My husband and I were really not prepared for what it entailed and needless to say it was a tragedy!
