Basic Ham and Bean Soup

Fabulous! Used 4 cups chicken broth and 4 cups water. Did not use ham hock or salt. Made a day in advance. When I put in frig, there was a good bit of broth, but the next day the beans had soaked up most of the broth.

Chuck's Favorite Mac and Cheese

The texture is the problem with this recipe. I put cottage cheese and sour cream in blender as another reviewer suggested. I'm sure it helped, but the flavor was still "different." I won't make again. Still on the hunt for the perfect mac and cheese. The Triple-Cheese Macaroni on this site is much better.

Simple Salisbury Steaks

Very good. Must be careful with turning them or they fall apart. I did not add mushrooms. I removed cooked steaks from pan. I then put in the soup and added 3/4 can of milk to make a gravy. Then I returned the steaks to the gravy and warmed them.

Triple-Cheese Macaroni

Loved the flavor of this dish. Perhaps the mustard and seasoned salt? My husband wants a creamier sauce though. Wondering if I could just leave out the eggs. On a quest for the perfect mac and cheese. Ok-made this a second time and left out the eggs and added more milk. Tasted the same to me. Still not creamy, but the flavor is really good.
