Soft Chocolate Chip Cookies II

I will only use this recipe from now on. I was tired of flat crunchy cookies. Now we have soft chewy ones. This is the best. I follow it to a "T" and it never fails.

Finnish Flat Bread

This was really good. I wanted something quick and easy to add to our steak dinner at the last minute and this worked well. It was like a big, soft and fluffy biscuit. The leftovers will be great for breakfast with some butter and jam. Yum.

Sweet and Sour Pork Patties

these were awsome ! I followed a review and made them into meatballs, also adding Worcestshire, ketchup , Ginger and mustard. I served them with Sweet and Sour Sauce II from this website over white rice. So,So good.

Sweet and Sour Sauce II

This was awsome. I added green pepper, onion and carrots to the sauce while it was cooking, I also was going to add a can of pineapple chunks at the end so I poured the juice into the sauce at this time.then I added the cornstarch and pineapple chunks after the veggies were cooked al dente. I followed a few reviews by using 1/2 brown sugar and 1/2 white sugar. I used 1/2 cider vinegar and 1/2 white vinegar.

Pickled Red Beet Eggs

These were good. I made them for a dinner party because this recipe was quick and easy and ready to eat the next day. Ive never had the beet version before and since were a beet fan I made this. They were gone in 2 days.

Southwest Chicken and Pasta

wow... I was running late making hubby lunch for work so I pulled this recipe up and had it fixed in no time... Hubby loved it and so did the kids. I doubled the sauce because we like lots and I used whole wheat Penne pasta because its what I had on hand. Very good and easy to fix.

Enchilada Casserole III

this turned out very good. I made spanish rice and placed in bottom of a 9x13 then followed this recipe layering on top of the rice. It made a huge 1 dish dinner that everyone gobbled up.

Mom's Buttermilk Biscuits

I had no problems with this recipe turning out.( I submitted my photo). Im from the south as are many people and the one thing I know about biscuits is that you must not over work your dough. As soon as it comes together you knead a few times then press it out (I use my hands) and do not cut your dough with a twisting motion because it will seal your cut side shut, cut straight down and tap the biscuit out of your cutter and use flour in between each and every cut. The only changes I made was to use 1/2 butter and 1/2 shortening and 1/2 t. for the baking powder and soda.

Baked Spaghetti Squash with Beef and Veggies

The flavor was good, but I ended up with too much liquid at the end. Maybe next time I will drain the tomatos. I also added a squeeze of tomato paste to the mix for a bit more tomato flavor. Other than that this was good, No need to change the recipe.

This was sooo good. The kids didnt like it but hubby and myself thinks its wonderful. So moist and full of flavor. Its similar to a succulent cornbread. Awsome!

Amish Bread

Ive been using this recipe for a couple of months now, and I must say it makes THE BEST bread. My bread machine pooped out so I make this by hand and when my 17 year old comes home from school and sees it she makes a v-line right to it and scarfs down about a 1/4 of the loaf. Its a big hit at my house.

General Tsao's Chicken

Im giving this 5 stars even though I had to reduce the corn starch and it was still a bit thick. I made a double batch of sauce (because we eat it on our rice) and I used half the corn starch. I also used 1/2 corn starch and 1/2 flour for the chicken. I also let my chicken sit in the soy sauce about an hour before frying which gave it a really good flavor. My husband said it need a bit more kick so next time Ill add a bit of chinese pepper paste to the sauce. Other than that this was really good, Ill make this again for sure.

Fantastic Black Bean Chili

This recipe was a bit bland, like the other reviews it needed a bit of something. I added salt, cumin and some salsa I had in the frig. After that I thought it was pretty darn good. I use turkey in my chili anyways so that was no biggie, I also dont cook too spicey because I have 4 kids. So this was a really workable recipe for my house. Love it!
