I come from a family of phenomenal cooks, my grandfather was a chef and my mother caters, thats just 2 of the many talented cooks in my family and I'm proud to be among them, my mom taught me well. my favorite thing to cook is soul food and desserts my favorite family cooking tradition would be cooking collard greens and cooking all the must haves at our thanksgiving day table I believe my cooking triumph is when my family requested that I be the macaroni and cheese person for our gathering, which was my moms dish, they said they liked mine better than hers. To know that I cooked something better than my mom is a great triumph. The very first time my now husband came over to my house when we fist started dating, I was bragging about how good I could cook and while I was talking to him my cornbread was in the oven burning. It's 17 years later and he still talks about me.
