Caramel Shortbread Squares

Awesome recipe! I changed the serving amount, as I was serving a larger crowd and doubled the recipe. I received compliment after compliment about these cookies. I didn't change any of the ingredients, but after the first step, I froze the cookie, then after making the caramel, I returned the pan to the freezer, then I melted the chocolate in a double boiler, added to the layered cookie and returned to the freezer. WONDERFUL recipe, and by the way the caramel in this recipe is perfect; it is as sweet as a candy shoppe's caramel.

Gingerbread Boys And Girls

This is the first Christmas I made gingerbread anything. My husband and friends are from up north and they absolutely love gingerbread cookies. Our friends automatically asked me for the recipe and I ended up making 3 batches for Christmas. I thought the flour measurement was off, but it turned out just right. I used sugar cookie icing for the gingerbread. Thank you for submitting this recipe.

Chinese Roast Chicken with Gravy

The only reason I gave this 4 stars was because my kids didn't like the gravy. The chicken was awesome, tender and juicy. Next time will skip the gravy and just serve the chicken to my family.

Spritz Cookies II

One of the best Spritz cookies I have made. I used to use my mom's recipe, now I have my own. I had to make another batch the next day, my husband ate all our "Santa" cookies that night. Wonderful cookie. One note, to make cookie more formed when using cookie press, refrigerate in bowl 30 minutes before pressing.

Restaurant-Style Buffalo Chicken Wings

Tried it the first time as is! WOW great! My husband and I have experiemented with different flavors, much like our local buffalo wing eatery, GREAT results each time. The secret is following the recipe and refrigerating the wings. Crispy every time! Love this recipe! Thanks for submitting it!

Bean 'N' Rice Burritos

I only gave it four stars because I varied the recipe to suit my family's needs. My first step was to brown ground beef and add taco seasoning as directed on package, then added the beans, etc. I changed the velveeta to shredded cheese and added shredded lettuce and tomatoes to the burritos. (I have to sneak in veggies to any dish I make for my kids). I substituted fat free sour cream for the regular sour cream and whole wheat tortillas for the plain tortillas. I gave it 4 stars because it is a good "starter" recipe.

Cake Balls

Was a great recipe, I did follow other suggestions to refrigerate for several hours before making the balls, I am glad I did. I did the yellow cake/chocolate frosting dipped in chocolate, a little to rich for my taste, so I followed with an orange cake mixed with buttercream frosting dipped in white candy coating. Very good, plan to make these for Christmas using red velvet cake.

Lemon Poppy Seed Bundt Cake

Excellent! My daughter who is 6 normally doesn't like anything with lemon in it, loved this cake. My husband and myself liked it because it was best after sitting for a day. My oldest son loved it and normally loves sugary sweet things so it was a great cake for the enitre family. I did substitute lemon pudding mix for the vanilla and it turned out great.

Chicken Provolone

This recipe was not at all what I expected. I followed it to a T (excluding the white wine, my children don't like the taste) and it turned out horrible. My husband liked it that's the only reason I rated it 2 stars.Not a dish I will make again.

Busy Day Chicken Rice Casserole

My family and I love this recipe, I did make some changes to it to adapt to my family's tastes. I didn't have cream of celery soup, so I substituted cream of chicken instead. I added one green bell pepper, diced, and one small onion diced to the rice mixture. I also added 1 minced garlic to the rice mixture. My family loved it. It was a great basic recipe that was easily changed to suit my family, thanks!
