California Chicken
I took some of the tips from others and marinated the chicken in a lime, olive oil, garlic & cilantro marinade. The chicken was then grilled with the onion powder & season salt. I added both olives and green chiles to the tomato and cheese topping before baking. We put the chicken over rice and I agree with one of the others that making the cheese into a sauce would make it even better. Great flavors...but I'm afraid that if made exactly as written it might be a bit bland.

Garlic Red Potatoes
I had to cook these for over an hour at 350 degrees. I even cut the potatoes fairly small. It doesn't seem to be the oven b/c the biscuits cooked perfectly. I think I will stick with another method of cooking next time. Otherwise the flavor was good...but to be honest no one was all that hungry by the time they were done.

Creamy Chicken Asparagus Casserole
I took many of the tips from previous reviewers and added fresh mushrooms, garlic salt & season salt to the chicken while browning and milk to the cream of chicken soup. All of these additions worked very well. I didn't want to buy tarragon as I have never used it or seen it before so I consulted one of my cookbooks for a substitution. They recommended crushed fennel seed which I used, but I think I might just omit it all together next time as I wasn't a huge fan of that flavor. My husband and I liked this dish, but both agreed that it could use even more flavor...perhaps some additional spice, cheese or even sour cream?? I can definitely see how those who made this exactly as written felt it was too bland.
