About this Cook
I am married with 2 girls 8 & 10. I am a soccer mom. I love to cook & entertain.
My favorite things to cook
I love to try new recipes & substitute a few things to make them my own.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I do not come from a family of cooks. I am mostly self taught or taught by my sicillian mother in law.
My cooking triumphs
Just made Big Charlie's Gumbo!!!
My cooking tragedies
I haven't had any major ones so far. I am the queen of substitutions and I know one day it's going to bite me in the butt.

Cottage Cheese Bread I
I made this today but I substituted 2 cups of wheat flour and 1 cup of all purpose flour..made it in the bread maker on the dough cycle but took it out and made it into rolls with some melted butter and sesame seeds on top came out really good.

Cake Mix Cookies IV
Easiest and great!! I mixed some confectionary sugar, butter, milk and lemon extract to make a frosting so that sprinkles would stick and they were a big hit. I have already made them 4 times :). They are great quick and easy when the kids bring friends home afterschool....

Italian Bread Using a Bread Machine
Okay.. So I have made this recipe 3 times. The first time it came out great and the next two times not as good. Too heavy..still okay but not as great as the first time.
