I thought it was really tasty, exactly like I would have wanted. Full bodied and spicy. They only thing I did different was to drain the fat after the beef browned, and replace it with 1/2 cup of water when adding all the spices to make it less greasy. I also used olive oil instead of bacon drippings. It was delicious!

This recipe was great. It was the classic cheesy potato soup. I have made it twice now, and it comes out perfectly every time. It was simple, easy and delicious. The second time I doubled the recipe and added four slices of crumbled bacon. Divine!
