Bow Ties with Sausage, Tomatoes and Cream

I thought this was pretty good. Made as written. However the hubby really didn't like it, so I guess this won't be joining our regular rotation. His biggest complaint was that the flavors didn't really blend together, just tasted like sausage and pasta. I thought it was a nice change from our usual flavors, but oh well.

Hearty Mince

The only ones in my house that liked this were the dogs. I found it to be very bland, even after adding some garlic to try and kick up some flavor. For all the comments about Hamburger Helper, I would prefer the box stuff to this. I did however find that the noodles came out perfectly cooked, and had wonderful texture to them. Just too bland of a dish for our liking. I won't be making this again.

I Love My Pear Salad

My family has also been making this for years, although without the nuts, and we've always called it "Green Monster", making it with the lime jello, of course. Our biggest trick, is to put the cream cheese and pears in the blender, and mix them there, then add the jello, blend again, and finally fold in the cool whip. That way you get a really nice smooth texture.

Tacos in Pasta Shells

Really liked this for something different. Will def. add to the dinner rotation. Only change might be more chili powder/taco seasonings. Forgot to add the chips, but didn't really miss them.

Slow Cooker Cranberry Roast

I really didn't care for this, and neither did the hubby. We're both fans of cranberry sauce, but this was too much! All I could taste was the cranberry. In the words of my hubby "This would be great if you don't want to taste the meat!" I will say that it looked beautiful and the gravy had a loverly texture... too bad we didn't care for the flavor.

Peanut Butter Chicken

I left out the mushrooms, since the hubby doesn't like them, but otherwise followed the recipe. But neither of us liked this at all, and we're both HUGE Peanut butter fans. The tomatoes just don't work well with the PB in our opinions.

White Chocolate Raspberry Cheesecake

The hubby wanted to give this a 6 star rating!! Said it was better than his mom's cheesecake!!! Made it for my cousins birthday party, and it was loved by everyone. Will def. be trying different combos with this for years to come!!!!!!

Grilled Tri-Tip with Oregon Herb Rub

I was a bit nervous when I first mixed up the spices, as I didn't really care for the smell. But after cooking on the grill, this came out much better than I thought. A bit salty for my taste, so I might follow the suggestions of others and add some brown sugar when making again. Overall, a nice change from slapping BBQ sauce on.

Cheddar Pull-Apart Bread

I was sadly disappointed by this recipe... it wasn't terrible, but its not something I'm going to make again. We found it to be rather bland, even with adding extra cheese. It was a very heavy and dense bread, which wasn't what I was looking for. Not worth all the effort in my book.

Chocolate Crinkles II

A regular both at the deli/bakery I work at, and at home for many years. Always so pretty to display, even if they are messy to eat! Using the pre-melted packets of chocolate, seems to keep the cookies softer.

Cordon Bleu Chicken Rolls

The sauce puts this over the top. I also mixed some parm cheese in with the bread crumbs, since there is no such thing as too much cheese in my house!! Tossed about a Tablespoon of butter in the bottom of the pan, to keep things from burning.
