About this Cook
My ethnicity is Italian (father) and English(mother). I grew up with lots of Italian pasta dishes and American comfort foods like meatloaf ad mashed potatoes. I learned how to cook from my mother and was allowed to cook and present dinner meals by the time I was 13. I love to cook and have others enjoy my meals. I've retired from a 20 year career in social services. Due to the recession, I find it necessary to seek employent again.
My favorite things to cook
Pasta dishes, chicken dishes, seafood, especially shell fish.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas eve traditional Italian fare: All seafood and anti pasta, fruits and nuts for desert and we sneak in some Italian cheesecake and coffe or espresso.

stuffed pork loin, paella, pasta fagiola,lasagna, shrimp scampi
My cooking tragedies
I made brasciole ad didn't realize until I untied it and cut into when cooked that i left out one of the key ingredients. Its a good thing I didn't have any guests, just me and my husband. He thought the brasciole was ok but I was floored. I had never forgotten anything before and it wasn't like I didn't have it on hand.
