I am a mom to two beautiful girls, one who will eat anything and one who won't eat anything. I teach art to grades K-8. I'm really not the greatest at cooking but I'm trying to learn. I know I won't ever be the world's greatest chef but as long as my kids will eat it I'm happy.
My favorite things to cook
I absolutely love to bake! Breads, cakes, pies, brownies, anything you can put in the oven is for me.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Christmas time is the best. We always make a ton of different cookies and candies and give them away as gifts. My daughters love to do all the decorating on the sugar cookie cut-outs. It's nice to spend time with each other decorating cookies around the table.
My cooking triumphs
One year I decided to make three different kinds of rolls from scratch for Thanksgiving. Each one turned out beautifully and my brother swore he would never eat store bought rolls again.
My cooking tragedies
I tried to make carrot pancakes once (they looked so yummy in the picture) and once my girls and I tried them we had to throw them out because they were so awful.
