This was a hit with our family. It was very tasty, but for me it lacked a little something... maybe some chives or something? It's a keeper tho and I plan on fixing it again during the holidays when family is here.

Absolutely delicious!!! This has become one of our favorite dishes. Perfect as is... no need to revise.

At the suggestion of other users I went ahead and added extra sugar and cinnamon, but it made little difference. It was so bland. I ended up slicing up the rest of the loaf and buttered each piece and sprinkled brown sugar on them and then toasted in the oven. That was yummy so not a complete loss.
