About this Cook
I'm a stay at home mom who cooks and cleans diligently and resentlessly for my family. I have a 17 month old son who is icredibly inteligent and thus incredibly chalenging. I have a wonderful husband who works for a living and still makes time to help out with the garbage and the dishes. He spends the time that he isn't working with me and the baby. Where would i be with out my family?
My favorite things to cook
I like food full of flavor, i'm very particular in what i eat. I have an excellent vegetarian speghetti recipe that i frequently make,as well as a meatloaf recipe, and many more that i have come up with through my life. Generally most of my recipes take under an hour to cook and prepare and require common ingredients that most households have readily available or can simply pick up at the local grocery store.
My favorite family cooking traditions
HOLIDAY COOKIES YEAH! Sugar cookies 50 dozen a season! Sprinkles Icing and flour in the hair.
My cooking triumphs
When i was pregnant with my son i was always extremely hungry. I could smell food from a mile away...and i could probably tell you what you ate 3 days ago--no joke! Well i was fortunet to be pregnant through the holidays and it also happened to be my first thanksgiving that i preparred completely by my lonesome. I don't know wheater it was my heightened sense of smell or tast, or merely a coincidence but i ended up making a fabulous turkey dinner suitable for 15 or more guests that was the best tasting thing i had ever had...dare i even say...better than grandma's? (please don't strike me down!) lol well since then i have tried to duplicate the tastes that i created that day and i have come close but with no avail. hopefully this year will be the year i can replicate it. (maybe i should get pregnant again.... :)
My cooking tragedies
I cannot for the life of me cook a hamburger. I am cursed i think. I try and try and well frankly have givin up because weather its burnt or undercooked or fell apart into the hot coals of the bbq i cannot. I've tried adding eggs and oatmeal, bbq sauce and cheese no matter what i do hamburgers are certainly not my forte.

Fried Chicken
The recipe is easy and quick, tastes okay, i added seasoned salt to give more flavor and i also used boneless skinless chicken breasts and cut them into thinner smaller pieces to make "chicken nuggets" for the kids. It also cooked quicker with smaller pieces.
