Married. No kids, just cats. New recipes I find. I cook them, my husband and I try them and then I take them to work for my friends. I am always getting requests for my food and when there is a pot luck or any kind of gathering I always get requests. For many years I spend several days before Christmas off work and baking. I bake anywhere from 8-12 different kinds of cookies for about 2-4 days, pack them in tins, add a list of what is inside and give them as gifts to special friends, family and co-workers. Last year I partnered up with a friend who does the same thing but with homemade candy. We were a HUGE favorite and even though last year was our first year doing this together, we think this tradition will last for many years to come. Finally getting the recipe for my Grandmother's Stuffed Cabbage Rolls out of my Mom! My paternal Grandmother taught her how to make it but passed away before she could teach me. Mom only had the ingredients written down with no measurements. It took us working together to figure out the actual recipe but now it is in writing. A few years ago I found a long lost cousin from my Dad's side of the family with whom I have become best friends with. We have exchanged many family recipes that one would have and the other wouldn't. She was so excited when I gave her Grandma's recipe and I got a few that I thought were lost forever. You name it, I've messed it up at least once.
