About this Cook
I'm a busy student who absolutely loves to cook. There is nothing more relaxing at the end of the day than putting together a healthy, satisfying meal with my boyfriend. We pride ourselves on having a HUGE repertoire of fantastic recipes that take less than an hour to prep/prepare.
My favorite things to cook
Italian fare and "New-England Style" comfort food.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Soups, stews, and pies.
My cooking triumphs
Soups, Salad dressings, and small plates (bistro-style) creations.
My cooking tragedies
No matter what I do I can not bake French bread (baguette). SERIOUSLY! I can follow a recipe to a "T" and it always comes out dry, bland, and inedible :(

Cathy's Banana Bread
This recipe is AWESOME!! I have tried to find a good banana bread recipe for years but so many of them turn out dry and the one's that were moist had so much butter/oil in them I felt guilty eating them. The sour cream in this recipe keeps the bread moist and helps balance the sweetness. I substituted the margarine for the same amount of salted butter and omitted the 1/4 t salt. I only used 1 C of sugar and it was plenty sweet. Mine was cooked in 40 minutes so be sure to check it early :) Thanks for sharing this recipe!
