About this Cook
I love to cook and find it very therapeutic, especially baking.
My favorite things to cook
Cooking/baking with seasonal fruits and vegetables, and I'm always looking for a new recipe to try. :)
My favorite family cooking traditions
My family has always frowned upon prepackaged/frozen meals. I was raised to view cooking meals / baking treats from scratch as a sign of love towards those you make it for. I've tried my best to incorporate that in most of my favorite meals, and its been lots of fun keeping that tradition.
My cooking triumphs
Ratatouille: I had never heard of it until I saw the movie....So I decided to make it and it was delicious!!!
My cooking tragedies
I've had a few...Most recent one was zuchinni muffins...They looked and smelled delicious, but I may have accidentally doubled the salt. YUCK! I'll have to re-try. :)

Ginger Glazed Mahi Mahi
Really enjoyed this recipe. I used Balsamic salad dressing instead (didnt have the vingar around) and it worked out great!

Pumpkin Chocolate Chip Muffins
Great recipe, but I believe that had I stuck to the recipe word for word, it would have been a little bland...I doubled the recipe, (used 3 eggs, not 4 though), added a dash of vanilla extract, and a few dashes of pumpkin pie spice. I made these for my husband's co-workers. Unfortnately, I only got to keep 2 for myself! :)

Nanny's Spaghetti Sauce
I think this was a great "base" recipe. I ended up adding red wine, fresh basil, sauteed onions, and oregano. With those additions, it was a delicious, savory sauce and I plan to never buy jarred spaghetti sauce again!
