About this Cook
I'm a stay at home mom of two kids. My husband is in the military and we both love to cook. My husband is really good at making japanese food and interested in the culture and I really love trying out new foods from all over the world. We hope to travel or even get stationed in europe one day so we can better learn the amazing cuisine.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make pizza from scratch, we always put all kinds of weird ingredients on it and try out new stuff. My husband makes amazing sushi, I just like to eat it. I'm good at simple things that I grew up eating meat and potatoes in many forms mostly.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My husband grandmother is from wales and always makes us Welsh Rarebit when we come to visit...it's amazing!!
My cooking triumphs
I have recently gotten very into baking and made bread, pizza crust, and cupcakes all from scratch. I have never used anything but a box mix and I was so proud of myself.

Thai Chicken Pizza
This is a great starter recipe, most of the thai chicken pizza recipes i looked at were to complicated or used dozens of ingredients i don't keep around my house. I made mine with half chicken and half shrimp just for fun and i cooked the carrots and bean sprouts with the pizza under the cheese and it still tasted great. I also served mine with a side of sweet chili sauce to give it a little extra kick and it was great. My husband and I worked at a pizza shop in our home town that made a thai pizza that was amazing and we tried it again last time we were home and even my picky husband said the one i made was so much better. Great recipe to play with or just eat as is.

Easy Italian Sausage Lasagna
I am rating this recipe 5 stars because it saved me tonight for dinner. I hate going for a lasagna recipe that has 20 ingredients when I am trying to throw dinner on the table with the random stuff I have around my house. It turned out really good I added some water to my sauce which I always do with pasta sauce to help it go a little further and also I was always taught by my mom to run the noodles under warm water just to barely wet them before you put them in the pan and between those two things my lasagna was nice and cooked and not dry at all. I'm going to save this one for another one of "those nights"
