I have a banana tree that grows next to our new house so I was searching for banana recipes. This recipe got some good reviews so I went with it. I never made banana bread before (or any bread for that matter!)but this came out great. I followed the recipe except for changes that others suggested plus my own ideas: replace 2.5 c sugar with 1 c white + 1 c brown sugar; add 2 tsp cinnamon; use 2 c instead of 1.5c mashed banana's; used 2oz chopped pecans instead of 1/2 c chopped walnuts; added 1 cup chocolate chips to batter YUM! Next time I will eliminate the cinnamon (not for any reason besides it may dry it out a little?!--not sure if this is a valid reason) I will add 1 cup more chocolate chips. Banana + chocolate = DELICIOUS!
