About this Cook
I am a real estate agent and work crazy hours, often times I work 7 days a week, and although I have some flexibility it is a very unstable job. I enjoy spending time with my family, a wonderful husband of 24 years a 17 year old senior in high school daughter and a 21 year old senior in college son, we also have 2 dogs, a German Sheppard Ben (12) and an Aussie healer Bandit (14). We enjoy camping, boating and motorcycling.
My favorite things to cook
I prepare a full meal with meat/chicken/fish as well as starch pasta/potato/rice and always have fresh vegetables spinach/corn/asparagus/broccoli as well as a nice salad, I mix it up a lot, I also love using my crook pot for things like Chili, marinara sauce, pot roast, and it is always a treat to make homemade soups and pies, I just love to cook, and I have a very appreciative, complimentary family….
My favorite family cooking traditions
I prepare dinner in the morning so when I get home from work I simply need to cook it and set the table, I have a recipe board and write what is for dinner so the family knows what to expect, this gives everyone something to look forward to. Unless there is a major conflict we always have family dinner, this is so important....
My cooking triumphs
Lollypop lamb, a huge favorite, but a little tricky to make, the demi glaze has to be very carefully watched.....
My cooking tragedies
My daughters favorite is baked brie, and one time I forgot it and sure enough it burned :( She was not happy about that…..
