About this Cook
I Love to be in my kitchen cooking or baking. Cooking is my stress reliever. I love making my family and friends happy with my cooking/baking. They always call me ahead of time wanting to know what I am having/making for my meals, parties or gatherings. I am glad they enjoy my cooking/baking as this is what makes me happy.
My favorite things to cook
I love to try new things. Thankfully my husband doesn't mind me testing new things out on him.
My favorite family cooking traditions
I like taking 2 or 3 recipes I find for one dish and combining ingredients to get just that right flavor or taste. I am big on flavor...spices, herbs & seasoning, etc.
My cooking triumphs
Learning how to get just the right flavoring I want out of the spices and seasoning.
My cooking tragedies
Not remembering what all I put into a recipe and trying to make it again because everyone loved it. I am good for just throwing in some of this and some of that.

Buttermilk Coleslaw
This is a great recipe! I just added a little apple vinegar to it. The buttermilk is what makes it though.

Asian Orange Chicken
I have been searching for a good Asian Orange Chicken recipe and this is excellent. I only changed a few things because of flavors that I like. I put in Red Chile Sauce for sweet but hotness and I put in more orange zest, juice and ginger for my liking. You can taste it as you make it, which makes it nice. I added some veggies to the sauce while it was boiling (5-7 minutes) and then thickened the sauce. Everyone loved it!

Chocolate Cavity Maker Cake
I am not a cake lover at all but this was by far the best, most moist, delicious cake I have ever tasted. I had it with Kahlua (1 cup) and mini chocolate chips (1 cup) and it was to die for. I am going to try different recommended flavors by others next time.
