Linguine with Cajun-Spiced Shrimp and Corn

Tasty, but I think I would have made a roux first as the sauce is a bit thin. Also, the color is beautiful, but for more variation, add green bell in with the red.

Very tasty cookie. Flavors are appropriate for fall perhaps with a cup of hot cider. That is the up side. The down side is that they are way too moist. They were almost gooey even after I put them back in the oven for a few minutes. The next time I make them, I will add more flour and perhaps more oatmeal.

Lazy Dazy Cake I

I baked it for only 30 minutes, then glazed it beneath the broiler. I took the suggestions of vanilla and coconut extract in the glaze. It was good. It might be a little too sweet for an every day cake, but it would work beautifully at a church pot luck or a large family gathering. The cake has a nice enough texture that it could be used without the glaze with fruit. Even if it is in another carnation--topped with berries or cranberries or cooked apples--, I will make this cake again.
