Im a wife and a new Mom and I love it. I get to stay at home and so cooking has become my Job. I am enjoying Thai food and anything a little different. But I have to admit sometimes nothing beats the truditional roasted chicken or cream of potato soup. My Mom was an awesome cook and tried to get us kids in the kitchen to help. I must admit I drug my heels and found it a chore, but now I am calling her all the time and wishing I had payed more attention:) We had many food traditions, decorating cookies at Christmas, amazing Sunday dinners (often with lots of guests) finnish pancakes on Sunday mornings, fall dinners with all our own home grown favorites, and many others. My dad even got in on the fun making us caramel popcorn on nights when we had friends over. Food to me means fun, fellowship, friends and family:) I made my first roast Chicken with my own invention of stuffing and it was really good!! It felt good to pull off a big meal like that and have moist yummy Chicken:) I have burnt Jello..yup not so I hot I know!! Also I made a terrible, very strong Salmon one time that my husband and I couldent finish..it was bad:)
