A weekend in the Rockeys!
About this Cook
Im a wife and a new Mom and I love it. I get to stay at home and so cooking has become my Job.
My favorite things to cook
I am enjoying Thai food and anything a little different. But I have to admit sometimes nothing beats the truditional roasted chicken or cream of potato soup.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My Mom was an awesome cook and tried to get us kids in the kitchen to help. I must admit I drug my heels and found it a chore, but now I am calling her all the time and wishing I had payed more attention:) We had many food traditions, decorating cookies at Christmas, amazing Sunday dinners (often with lots of guests) finnish pancakes on Sunday mornings, fall dinners with all our own home grown favorites, and many others. My dad even got in on the fun making us caramel popcorn on nights when we had friends over. Food to me means fun, fellowship, friends and family:)
My cooking triumphs
I made my first roast Chicken with my own invention of stuffing and it was really good!! It felt good to pull off a big meal like that and have moist yummy Chicken:)
My cooking tragedies
I have burnt Jello..yup not so I hot I know!! Also I made a terrible, very strong Salmon one time that my husband and I couldent finish..it was bad:)

Easy Slow Cooker Chicken Wings
This was sooo yummy and flavorful!! I used drumsticks, a Thai Chilli sause and didnt worry too much about mesurements, but it seemed to work. I didnt want them to be soggy so I did as someone else mentioned and I broiled them from a few minuts when they where done. So good, spicy and sweet.
