My husband was a cook for years in a nice restaurant, and he's an excellent chef. He used to do all the cooking, but now he works way too much and I'm home with my 2 kids most of the time. That's how I started cooking.
I've worked at my parent's health food store for about 15 years now and get a lot of my ingredients from there.
My favorite things to cook
I really don't know yet. I just know it becomes my favorite if everyone likes it.
My favorite family cooking traditions
My mother and grandmother were both stay at home moms and excellent cooks. They use a lot of old recipes that have been passed down over many generations. English and Slavic mostly.
My cooking triumphs
When my dad said my lasagna was better than my mom's.
My cooking tragedies
Anything to do with baking. I can't even count. It's also a "tragedy" when my husband doesn't like it the way it is and drowns it in garlic salt or hot sauce.
