Slow Cooker Casserole

This was okay, I don't think I'd make it again. I followed the recipe then added a little paprika and chili powder to spice it up but it was still bland and mushy.

Delicious Christmas Cookies

They're not visually appealing but they taste excellent! I've made about five batches of them now and I've discovered they turn out best when they're very small - no more than a teaspoon each when placed in the oven. They do turn out somewhat flat but the taste makes up for it. Oh, and I use cinammon graham cracker crumbs. Yum!

Taco Lasagna

Reviewed: Dec. 13, 2008
This recipe was okay. I added refried beans into the layers and it turned out good. It isn't much different than making tacos though. There wasn't anything special about this recipe that would make me want to make it over again - I'd prefer regular tacos!

Quick and Easy Vegetable Soup

Reviewed: Dec. 12, 2008
This recipe was quick, easy, and had tons of flavor. I didn't have any fresh green beans or corn so I used canned and used Cajun Creole Seasoning. It made the soup excellent! If you don't have any on hand the ingredients are: paprika, onion, garlic, black pepper, lemon peel, chile, allspice, thyme, cloves, mace, cayenne, and bay leaf.

Simple Taco Soup

I didn't have stewed tomatoes so I used diced instead and this recipe was so easy and so tasty. I topped it with Fritos, sour cream and cheddar cheese. It became a family favorite instantly.

Chicken Noodle Stir-Fry

Reviewed: Dec. 6, 2008
This recipe was very easy and the kids loved it. I'll be making it again! I made two at the same time - one pan for my kids with the veggies they like (added shredded carrots and green beans and omited the broccoli), and one pan for me with the veggies I like (added shredded carrots, celery, and omitted the cauliflower). I used both teriyaki sauce and splashed with soy sauce. Both pans turned out great and I made the vegetables crisp enough that it made good leftovers too!

Loaded Potato Soup II

This recipe was so quick, easy, and tasty. I'd make it again in a heartbeat! I'm not much of a meat fan and this recipe had lots of flavor without the need for bacon or ham.
