I just bought my slow cooker, so this was the first meal I've made with it. I was very worried about how it would turn out, as I have heard very negative things about slow cookers. This recipe is amazing! My roast beef was smaller, so I let it cook for 7 hours. I also placed some potatoes and carrots in the bottom. The meat was so tender we didn't even need a knife to cut it, and the potatoes were perfect. I was afraid that the gravy would be too thick, but it wasn't at all.
