About this Cook
Howdy. I'm a newlywed in San Antonio,Tx and cooking had never been enjoyable until I got married. But I felt like it was my duty and privilege to cook a delicious dinner for my husband and family as much as possible. I'm not a natural in the kitchen, so this website has been a God send.
My cooking triumphs
I brought a fruit salsa made from a recipe on this website to a wine tasting party and won the "dessert" prize. That was awesome. And of course anytime my super picky husband says he likes what I made...that's an exceptionally good feeling.
My cooking tragedies
I tried chicken fried steak - which is so messy to make - and thought that it was ok to boil a couple cups of water for the gravy IN the measuring cup ON the stove. It exploded and glass shards went everywhere. By the grace of God I wasn't hurt but the dinner was ruined and it took hours to clean everything up.

Pico De Gallo
This is a very nice, very simple recipe and I usually have all the ingredients on hand. The only thing I add is a couple tablespoons of lemon juice. We always use this on fajita nights. Thanks!

Roasted Chicken Noodle Soup
DELIGHTFUL! THIS is comfort food. I followed the recipe to the letter. If you're not a seasoned cook (i am not!) let me recommend having all of your vegetables and seasonings chopped and measured and ready to go before starting. It makes the cooking process flow much smoother, especially with this recipe. You will also need to salt and pepper to your liking. We found that it needed quite a bit of pepper and a little bit more salt.

No Bake Peanut Butter Pie
I LOVE this easy recipe. We used crunchy peanut butter which makes it even more sensational! Everyone absolutely loves it and I love that it makes two pies.
