Cocktail Meatballs
This recipe went over very well with my boyfriend's family. No one could guess what I used in the sauce - which was sort of nice. The only thing was that I had to add a lot more chili sauce than the recipe indicated. Perhaps I enjoy them a bit spicier, I ended up adding some hot sauce to give them a bit of a zing.

Shepherd's Pie VI
A very good recipe, although for an inexperienced cooker it can be a little overwhelming to have so many things on the go at once. Used worchestershire sauce which was very delicious, not a fan of the sugary ketchup. Also added whole kernel corn on top of the carrots, will try yams next time too. My boyfriend said "His mouth couldn't decide if it was enjoying a steak dinner or corn on the cob". Meaning, he really enjoyed it.

Sugar Coated Pecans
I made these for a Boxing Day dinner and my cousin's husband couldn't stop eating them to the point that he made me take them out of the room! Very high in sugar. Next time I will decrease the amount of sugar I put in - just to be health conscious. The cinnamon really gives it that extra zing but I also add some vanilla flavouring which should make up for a reduced sugar amount.
