I'm 25 years old. I come from a family of 4 girls, no boys, so we all learned to cook early. I'm part Hawaiian, part German. Have an intense love of food and flavors. Currently pregnant with my first child, due April 15th. And I love life!
My favorite things to cook
I love to use to slow cooker. So, pretty much anything there, and anthing Aisan. I lived in Japan for a year and a half. I live in Idaho and my husband is a potato farmer, so anything with potatoes too. But I would have to say my speciality is desserts.
My favorite family cooking traditions
When my grandma comes over, we always ALWAYS have the BEST Hawaiian foods and just eat til you're sick! Soy chicken, sushi, teriyaki everything, fried noodles, SPAM!!
My cooking triumphs
The very first time I winged a recipe from scratch, and it was DELICIOUS!
My cooking tragedies
While I was in Japan, I was trying to make a peacan chew dessert, and accidentally mixed the wrong ingredients together and baked them and almost burned our entire apartment complex to the ground. We didn't get the smell out for weeks.
