About this Cook
I am 25 years old, married with three amazing dogs-1 Aussie/border collie mix and 2 Labs(hence the name LpnLab-leaping lab). I work in a bakery as a baker and cake decorator. I love to bake and cook, I just don't do much of it anymore with working so much. That's why I love to have people over so I can make large fancy meals for them.
My favorite things to cook
I love to make Mexican and Italian food. Most of my family and my in-laws are Italian and I live in the southwest so I love the Mexican foods. I make a lot of different enchiladas, burro's, lasagna casseroles, etc.
My cooking triumphs
My husband and I made homemade Chinese food last week for my mom's birthday. It was the first time we really cooked together (I usually kick him out of the kitchen!) We got the recipes from this site and it turned out really well.
My cooking tragedies
I know I have had some, many probably. I just can't recall them-like I said before, I don't cook much lately.

General Tsao's Chicken
I thought this recipe was pretty good. It had a sweet flavor to it, not really spicy. I used regular salt instead of MSG and did not have ginger on hand. I did not deep fry it, just pan fry. Other than that, I followed the recipe. Very good, thanks!

Bourbon Whiskey BBQ Sauce
I just made this recipe (the first time ever making bbq sauce) and it is pretty good. It has a zesty flavor to it. I did make a couple of changes only because I didn't have everything it called for. I used white wine vinegar instead of cider vinegar, regular JD whiskey, and no liquid smoke. I added diced peaches to it for a recipe I have and it is really tasty. It tastes so familiar but neither hubby nor I can figure it out, either way- its good! Thanks for the recipe.

Honey Wheat Bread II
Very good wheat bread recipe. I halved the recipe and changed only the amounts of each flour. 1/12 cups wheat and 2 cups white. I think I will add more honey next time as it really didn't have much of a flavor, it had a fresh taste though. Thanks for the recipe.
