Ethiopian Cabbage Dish

Reviewed: Mar. 18, 2009
This recipe is so yummy! I followed others advice and doubled the spices, and only used about half the oil. I sauted the potatoes first to get them crispy then I mixed in the carrots, onions, added some minced garlic & garbonzo beans, then the cabbage, then let it cook together for about 20 minutes. My finance' loved it so much he went back for more! Definately a keeper! Will make again!

Vegetable Filo Pie

This was alright... not my favorite. I would reccomend making changes and if you have never worked with phyllo dough, you may want to try this more than once. I think it is a good concept but the flavor just wasn't there for me.

Kalua Pig in a Slow Cooker

This was a great recipe! Everyone loved it! I had to cook about 15 lbs of pork for my boyfriends 30th and so I ended up putting it in the oven overnight at a low temp. It turned out great!

Easy Pumpkin Turnovers

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2009
These were very tasty and easy to make, although I would change the spices. I added what was asked and it was way too much. I would cut the spices down a bit. Otherwise it was pretty tasty!

Peppermint Meringues

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2009
The recipe as is, is not that good. I changed it up and thought it was much better the 4th and 5th time around. First I whipped the eggs and sugar up as directed, I folded in about 1/4 cup chopped chocolate chips. Once I had them squeezed onto the pan, I sprinkled crushed peppermint candy over the top. After I altered the recipe a little they were perfect!

Artichoke Wonton Cups

Reviewed: Feb. 4, 2009
The artichoke mixture was really tasty, but for some reason my wonton cups didn't crisp right. I definately suggest greasing both sides because I feel that is what makes them cook up crispy. If the wonton cups would have been crispy it would have been perfect!

Cranberry Apple Pie II

This was very delicious! I followed the recipe almost to a T and I ended up with enough filling for 2- 9in deep dish pie crusts. I also made a crumb topping from this site. Everyone loved it!

Veggie Squares

This was an excellent appetizer! Everyone at the party I took it to loved it. I did take some of the tips from other reviews and added the dry ranch dressing mix into the cream cheese.
