I will be 79 on Halloween 2008, and looking forward to #80; I have lived all over California, and in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. I have 3 grown children, 2 gorgeous granddaughters. I am politically active, a voracious reader, and adore Opera, classical music, jazz, and broadway music of the time before 1980. I still work parttime by choice. Pasta;most anything I can bake; meals that I can cook FAST; Love 1-dish meals. Thanksgiving, cooked with my daughter. We cook the same meal every Thanksgiving, and the family truly will not let us change the menu--a true tradition. I used to have a 1/4 acre vegetable/fruit garden/27 fruit trees, and I canned, froze, and did all you can think of..."back in the day." Even canned fresh albacore from the fishing boats in San Diego--fabulous stuff. Christmas Rum Cake; Lemon Pie; many pasta dishes; and a fabulous chocolate cake that is EASY, and without a lot of the things you would expect in a chocolate cake. I will think of something soon...
