I love cooking Mexican food, specifically fajitas and guacamole, mostly because it's my favorite to eat. I also consider myself a mashed potato connoisseur. Thanksgiving has always been potluck. Over the years, the staples of Thanksgiving meals have gone to whoever is most talented at a particular dish, with Turkey being traded around every year. Last year was the first year I was given a dish to make for thanksgiving and I definitely wowed. I made mashed potatoes with no less than SIX kinds of cheese. It was a hit to say the least. In the past I haven't checked our fridge to see if we had all of the ingredients for meals. After several trips to the local gas station for exorbitantly-priced milk or butter, I learned my lesson. I don't know how some of those gas station owners sleep at night.
