About this Cook
Born in Harlem,New York. Husband passed away in 2001.4 Adult children, 9 Grandchildren. I love to cook and watch my family enjoy eating. I can see the expressions on there face from the 1st bite. Graduated from MACEDONIA HIGH, home of the FOXES. I just love life, and people. I just love that the lord has blessed me to see my beautiful grandchildren. Any time my Son calls or comes by, he say's "I know your looking at the cooking channel or on the internet looking for a recipe". Love life, Enjoy People and Bless others.I just love the Lord so much. As I look over the years and see how he has blessed me, boy, it makes me all happy and joyous. I love to go fishing, not in the bushes or where I can't see my feet, scared of snakes. This is the 1st year I've had my own garden, came out pretty good. Starting on the fall garden. Love this web site. Oh yeah, I forgot My New Baby, Katani, she's a yr. old. My Chihuahua, and Patrick, my cat.
My favorite things to cook
I love to bake desserts. Love down home fried Chicken.
My favorite family cooking traditions
Baked Banana Pudding. I remember growing up in Jamestown, my mom always baked the banana pudding, man you talk about GOOD! I've baked it over the years, but have done some simple ones, just not the same.
My cooking triumphs
My dish to cook for church is Baked Mac and cheese. Guess what? Baby formula make it real good. Simalac in the can. I always pray when I cook and ask the lord to bless it that people may feel the love and joy that was put into my cooking, guess what? he always do.
My cooking tragedies
I made shrimp fried rice and I was just learning to cook and tried to make this dish, boy was it SALTY. Over the years I have improved. I still have tragedies, but who dosen't. Still trying to do the biscuit making.Haven't Improved on it too much.

Quick Yeast Rolls
I tried these rolls last night 10/08 and the recipe is easy, but for some reason mine came out sort of tight. I followed the recipe to the T. I'll still give it 5 stars. What did I do Wrong?
