About this Cook
I have lived in Augusta for about 15 years. I am a 20 year old college student persuing a degree in Marketing. I joined this site in order to find good recipes and maybe one day add some of my own. I typically cook about two to three times per week and mainly for my boyfriend so we can save money and not have to eat out. My passion is really baking and cake decorating, but I have been known to cook some tasty chicken and pasta when it comes to dinner. I get a lot of my cooking experience from my grandmother who let me help her cook when I was very young. I hope to one day become a really great cook.
My favorite things to cook
My favorite things to cook are pies, cookies, cakes, pasta, rice, vegetables, chicken, and basically everything that isn't too complicated!

Cake Balls
i used red velvet cake mix and whipped cream cheese frosting. i used the whole can of frosting and the cake was still very crumbly and hard to mold together. i think if i used regular icing it might have worked better. but i managed to get a few cake balls out and froze them. i used white chocolate chips for the coating. for some reason they would just not melt smooth. the lumps in the white chocolate stayed even after i added a LOT of shortening! i was trying to get it to smooth out more so it would be easier to dip and i added some water. boy was that a HUGE mistake! the white chocolate curdled up and became all lumpy. i tried dipping a ball in it to see if it would still taste good but it wasn't. i ended up with a huge mess and no cake balls :'(. if i do this recipe again i will make sure to follow the reviews 100% and dont use whipped icing or white choc chips!

Tiny Chicken Turnovers
Well, they took FOREVER to make!! That's why I'm giving it four stars. They tasted good though... I didn't get to make the other stuff I was going to make because these took so long. I think next time if I do something like this I will just use chicken salad from the deli and some premade dough to wrap them in.

Brown Sugar Smokies
These were really good!!! I took them to work and they were gone in about an hour or so! I made two batches but I ended up only using 1 cup of brown sugar. I think they would have been a little too sweet with as much as the recipe calls for. Really good and easy to make I would definately do this again!!
