Slow Cooker Pork Chops II

I thought this was great! I did add a bit of balsamic vinegar but that was it. I think next time instead of cutting the O.O. like some people suggested, I'll leave it as the recipe calls for. I also browned the chops first, put them in partially frozen, cooked on low for 3 hours, then left them on the warm cycle for 4-5 hours. They came out moist and delicious. I will definitely be using this recipe over and over again!

Jesse's Ginger Salad Dressing

This is a great basic recipe. I tasted it as written and thought it was really good- especially for such a simple recipe! I did add some things to my final dressing though: 1/8 ts. garlic JUICE, 1t white rice vinegar, 3 drops sesame oil- these additions (at least for me) made this dressing PERFECT!

Cuban Pork Roast II

This is great! It was great used later in the eveining by my husband and son for sandwiches and made amazing taco meat!!! I cooked a 2# frozen roast in a slow cooker for about 6 hours on high- was falling apart when done. Thanks so much for this recipe!

Fresh Tomato Salsa

As it is, it's a decent pico de gallo, a bit too much cilantro for my taste. The second time around, I cut the amont of cilantro, I added some pressed garlic (3 cloves to a tripled recipe), some oil and vinegar and let me tell you. . .WOW! IT TOTALLY ROCKED!!! It was gone in about 10 minutes and I made a 2qt bowl full! I will be using my modified version from now on! Thanks!

Ok, so initially (upon first bite) I was taken aback by the overpowering citrus flavor. As I continued to eat, it got better. I don't recommend this as a piece of meat by itself, but rather, shredded or chopped for tacos or burritos. You talk about a SUPERB taco meat?!?!?!?!!!! OUTSTANDING!!!!!! It made enough that I have a sigificant amount left for freezing to be used for tacos again down the road. Thanks for this recipe!

Pork for Tamales

This was ok on it's own, but true Mexican tamale meat has a few more ingredients in it. I used this basic recipe but added 3cl. garlic, cumin, oregano, chile colorado, and I used chicken broth instead of water. It was pretty good, but next time I'll throw in a chipotle chile with mole for a little smokey flavor. This is a great basic recipe to build upon!

Slow Cooker Pepper Steak

This was pretty good: not the best, not the worst. Our family found, however, that this rocked when reheated the next day! Put it on a sourdough roll with a slice of swiss or provolone and a tablespoon of cider vinegar. Made terrific sandwiches!
